That’s right, the musical series is back for a Holiday special titled, unsurprisingly, Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas, which was released on December 1.

Here, Newsweek can share how you can watch the special.

What is Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas about?

The musical film follows Clarke as she tries to make the perfect festive celebration for her and her family.

Clarke, who can hear the thoughts of everyone around her as choreographed song and dance numbers, is putting on the event so that she can try and recreate the Christmas magic her late father used to make when she was a child.

As expected of the franchise, Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas will have a number of show-stopping musical performances, all of which will be festive-themed.

The trailer for the film gave fans a teaser of Alex Newell’s rendition of “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”, for example.

How to watch Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas

Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas is a original production from Roku, who commissioned the film after its predecessor was canceled by NBC, and it is available to watch on The Roku Channel.

The Roku Channel can be added as part of Roku TV, and it is available for free in the United States, Canada, and the UK.

Roku also has its own streaming player which can be accessed online, and all prospective viewers need to do is to sign up for a Roku account to watch the film.

The Roku channel can also be accessed on devices that support the platform, like Roku streaming sticks or Roku smart TVs.

Will Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist be renewed by Roku?

NBC canceled Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist after just two seasons in June 2021, and it was picked up by Roku after NBC’s streaming platform Peacock passed on the opportunity to do so.

When the festive film was commissioned, show creator Austin Winsberg said in a statement: “I am so extremely grateful to The Roku Channel for helping us get Zoey to sing again.

“I can’t think of a more appropriate time to hear someone’s heart song than the holidays.

“And Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas will be an opportunity to provide the fans and new viewers alike a chance to all tap their toes and get in the holiday mood.”

In June, TVLine reported that if the festive film performs well enough then it may well mean the show is brought back on Roku’s streaming platform.

Newsweek has contacted Roku and Lionsgate representatives for further comment.
