The former New York City mayor caused uproar when he was revealed to be one of the mystery contestants during a taping of the competition show earlier this year.

Although it is not known which creature Giuliani is yet, viewers will finally get to see him perform in one of the outlandish costumes tonight.

Nick Cannon is returning to host the season along with regular judges Ken Jeong, Nicole Scherzinger, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg and Robin Thicke.

Guest judges this season include Eric Stonestreet, Nicole Byer, and Leslie Jordan.

How to Watch Rudy Giuliani on The Masked Singer

The Masked Singer Season 7 premiere airs on Wednesday, March 9, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.

Contestants this season have been sorted into teams called; Good, Bad, and Cuddly.

The Good group consists of Firefly, McTerrier, the Prince, the Ringmaster and the Armadillo. In Bad, there’s Cyclops, Ram, Queen Cobra, Hydra and Jack in the Box. Team Cuddly consists of Thingamabob, Lemur, Space Bunny, Baby Mammoth and Miss Teddy.

The former personal attorney for former President Donald Trump, Giuliani is one of the above and fans and judges will have to figure it out each week based on his performances and the clues about his character.

It was reported by Deadline that Jeong stormed out after Guilaini’s reveal back in February, with the actor saying he felt “disrespected and was livid” according to People.

McCarthy and Scherzinger reportedly stayed on stage while Thick is also said to have walked off.

The Trump ally had just been subpoenaed by the House committee investigating the January 6 attack at the time.

Writer and TV personality Dave Holmes tweeted: “Next time you’re about to complain about cancel culture, just remember that [Giuliani] got cast as like the Happy Li’l Slice o’ Cake on The Masked Singer.”

While comedian and Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane tweeted: “Anything for ratings, right?”

Political analysis outlet Palmer Report posted: “Props to Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke for walking out in protest,” and added that the Fox show had “no business allowing Rudy Giuliani on the air.”

Another Republican politician previously participated on The Masked Singer back in season 3 when a contestant was revealed as former Alaska governor and vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
