Winter Olympic coverage begins on Wednesday, Feb. 2 and runs through Sunday, Feb. 20. In order to watch the broadcast in the United States, viewers will have to stay tuned during the night or in the middle of the night for live events. There will additionally be re-airings of the events in the morning and during the day.

NBC, along with some of the network’s additional channels, will be the main source for all Olympic coverage in the United States.

How to watch the Olympics in the USA

NBC is the known as the home of the Olympics in the United States. Along with that, the Olympics will be shown on some of its other channels, such as USA and CNBC. Viewers who may not have cable subscription can watch the Olympics on NBC’s streaming services — Peacock, which starts at $4.99/month, NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports App. Additionally, viewers can watch the 2022 Olympics on fuboTV, which offers a free trial. What time is it in Beijing?

Beijing, China is 13 hours ahead of the U.S.’s Eastern Time, and 16 hours ahead of Pacific Time. Because of the major time difference, not all of the Olympic broadcasts will be live.

NBC will host primetime broadcasts at night in the U.S., but some of the coverage may be taped from the day before. The network will also re-air some of the events that happened in the middle of the night for American viewers. 

As for streaming options, Peacock will be the main way to watch the Winter Games. The streaming service will air some events live, and will have tape-delayed coverage as well. NBC Olympics and the NBC Sports App will provide similar services.
