The Cubs are going to be locked in a knock-down, drag-out fight for the NL Central this year with some equally tough competition in the division. Coming off an offseason mired in some questionable decisions — trading away Yu Darvish, passing on an Anthony Rizzo contract extension — there’s a certain air of pessimism once again surrounding Wrigley Field.

Still, Cubs fans remain diehard supporters of the organization will be looking to catch as much Cubs baseball in 2021 as possible, with or without the cord. While MLB’s blackout rules still provide a headache for most viewers, there’s a solution to catch Chicago North games this year. In fact, there are a few.

How to watch Cubs games without cable

For those without cable, there are several options to stream Cubs games this year. Of course, MLB’s (ridiculous) blackout restrictions apply:

— If you’re in market, fuboTV carries Marquee Sports Network, the Cubs’s RSN, but blackout restrictions apply. Meaning, if you are within the Chicago market for MSN, you can watch Cubs baseball via fuboTV. But, for those out of market, you will not be able to watch Cubs games on the streaming service, since fuboTV will not carry the out-of-market RSN.

— Inside of market, AT&T TV also carries MSN and all of the networks which broadcast nationally televised games: Fox, ESPN, MLB Network, FS1 and MLB Network. These are all part of the service’s “Choice” package for $84.99.

— If you live outside of the Cubs’s TV market, you can watch games via MLB.TV.  For $129.99 for the season, you can catch every game from every team, or $24.99 per month. You can also pick a single-team option for $109.99 a month. Keep in mind, if you are inside of the Cubs market, games will be blacked out. Games will also be blacked out if you live outside of the Cubs market, but inside of the market of teams the Cubs are visiting.

— For nationally televised games, there are a few options with some exceptions: fuboTV,  SlingTV,  AT&T TV, YouTube TV  and  Hulu+ Live Sports  all carry ESPN, MLB Network and FS1.

You can check if games are blacked out in your area using MLB’s blackout tool.
