A rising senior at Sierra Canyon HS in Chatsworth, Calif., James is coming into his own during the summer AAU circuit with Team Strive For Greatness, which competes in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL). As he prepares for his final year of prep basketball, James continues his work to establish himself as one of the country’s best prospects in the class of 2023.

The son of future Hall of Famer LeBron James, Bronny James is a little different from his pops. Listed at 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds, Bronny plays both guard positions, but there’s something about those James genes.

Bronny James has shown to be crafty, explosive around the rim and displays a solid basketball IQ on both ends of the floor. As the summer circuit begins to wrap, James will look to make a few final impressions as he and Team Strive For Greatness garner more national attention.

According to the league’s current collective bargaining agreement, to be eligible for selection in the NBA Draft, a player must be at least 19 years of age during the calendar year in which the draft is held and at least one year should have elapsed since the player’s graduation from high school.

Per these rules, Bronny James could enter the 2024 NBA Draft as it falls one year after he graduates high school in 2023. Born on Oct. 6, 2004, Bronny James would turn 20 ahead of the 2024-25 NBA season, while his father would turn 40 in December of 2024

What are Bronny James’ college offers?

While 247Sports’ composite ranking lists James as the No. 46 recruit in the class of 2023, the site currently lists him as having no college offers.

According to 247Sports’ Adam Finkelstein “the perception is that Bronny James is not going to play college basketball,” which is why coaches are not making a hard push in his recruitment.

If James does not opt for the college route, he could explore the NBA G League Ignite pathway program. He would not be able to enter the NBA in 2023 unless there is a change in the collective bargaining agreement.
