The last time the money-making slickster (played by Don Cheadle) was seen, he was boarding a plane to a secret location in an attempt to evade the police, who were looking to pin him for the murder of his mentor and perhaps the most destructive stockbroker in Wall Street history, Rod “The Jammer” Jaminksi (Bruce Dern).

Well, the Season 2 trailer revealed Mo didn’t actually go that far. He’s in Miami with his buddy and fellow trader Paul Scheer (Keith Shankar), and he’s sporting an extremely questionable new hairstyle and pastel-colored suits that give him a “polluted waterfall” kind of look. And he won’t stay away from New York City for too long.

Only a short time has passed since the chaos of Season 1 ensued. Still, a lot has changed for the money-hungry, cocaine-loving trading firm brokers Black Monday viewers have come to know and love.

For starters, there’s a new team running the show at The Jammer Group, which has been renamed the TBD Group after its new owners, Mo’s protégé Blair Pfaff (Andrew Rannells) and the woman he loves, Dawn Darcy (Regina Hall). As co-owners of the new firm, their first order of business will be to hire an entirely new staff comprised mostly of women—aside from former Jammer Group traders and office screw-ups Yassir X (Yassir Lester) and Wayne (Horatio Sanz).

“Ladies, we are going to shatter the glass ceiling!” Dawn shouts in the Season 2 trailer. “We’re not in the ego business. We’re in the getting paid business.”

In addition to new staff, Blair and Dawn are also trying to grow their business beyond the petty shares Mo tried to trade when he was the overlord of The Jammer Group. Their efforts to take the company to new heights may result in them making alliances with unlikely sources like the Lehman Brothers’ twin Lenny Lehman, portrayed by Ken Marino. The duo will also make some new friends in high places in Washington D.C., thanks to Blair’s “political wife” Tiff Georgina, played by Casey Wilson.

Of course, their plans for expansion will likely blow up in their faces when Mo unexpectedly returns to the office with a new scheme of his own.

Black Monday Season 2 premieres on Showtime on Sunday at 10 p.m. ET.

The series can be live-streamed on any smart device via Showtime’s website and app. Hulu subscribers with the Showtime premium ad-on service can also watch the show through the streaming platform.
