What news will be revealed at the Behind The Sims Summit livestream?

EA has revealed a few details that we can expect to see in the livestream. The base game of The Sims is due to go free-to-play on 18 October as well, so the event will discuss the features of this free game for new potential players, according to the official Sims blog.

The Sims Team have been hyping up some big announcements, so many players are expecting that the next generation of the Sims is finally going to be announced. This makes sense, considering that the Sims is well overdue a new instalment, and how Maxis has allegedly been expanding its dev team in this area over the last few years.

There have been reports of The Sims 5 including online multiplayer elements, marking a new era for the simulation franchise. Of course, all of these are rumours.

The news could also be around Sims 4 titles – the Sims Community claims that two new kits are coming after a leaker found some icons in Base Game code.

This is further supported by the official Sims blog, which stated the following: “our team is more dedicated than ever to developing new and meaningful The Sims 4 experiences for our players and we will continue to develop and release packs, kits and Sims Delivery Express drops into the foreseeable future. We’ll be sharing more about what’s in the works during a special-edition stream”.

We also that there will be news for “all things The Sims, including The Sims Mobile” according to Twitter – so mobile gamers will be getting some announcements.
